So, before you decide on a particular model to take to the streets of Los Angeles, check out this overview so you can familiarize yourself with the performance aspects of the X5. We’ll consider things like the BMW X5 0-60 mph acceleration time, the BMW X5 top speed, as well as its fuel efficiency, so keep reading if you want to know more!
2024 BMW X5 Engine Specs
Two different engines power the X5: a 3.0L Turbo Inline-six engine and a 4.4L Turbo V-8 engine. No matter which you choose though, the slowest BMW X5 0-60 mph acceleration time you can expect is an already-respectable 5.3 seconds (X5 sDrive40i), while the BMW X5 top speed ranges between 130 mph and an impressive 155 mph (X5 M Competition).
That said, based on your selection, your BMW X5 engine may feature an addition. For example, if you choose the hybrid X5 xDrive50e, the 3.0L Inline six-cylinder engine comes with an integrated electric motor, enabling all-electric driving for those quick trips in and out of Arcadia. Similarly, the X5 M Competition model has the same 4.4L V8 engine as the X5 M560i, but with 48V mild hybrid technology that boosts it from 523 hp to an impressive 617 hp!
