The BMW 530i and 530i xDrive are the base trims of these vehicles. The only difference between the two models is that one has rear-wheel drive equipped standard while the other comes with BMW xDrive, their AWD platform. Here are the features you’ll find on these two trims:
One great perk when you upgrade to the 540i BMW 5 Series configurations is the addition of a 3.0-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder engine that delivers an impressive 335 hp. The 530e and the 530e xDrive are plug-in hybrid 5 Series models that have a four-cylinder two-scroll turbo engine, plus an electric motor for a total system output of 288 hp.
