Who Participates in the California Clean Fuel Reward Program?

The California Clean Fuel Reward program is available to all California residents who lease or purchase eligible vehicles through participating retailers. Your electric utility company and the California Air Resources Board are partnering to provide a California Clean Fuel Reward of as much as $750 off the lease or purchase of your next eligible new Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) or Battery Electric (BEV) vehicle. What are the requirements?

• Location and Income: There are no location or income restrictions within California.
• Battery Capacity: Eligible vehicles carry a battery capacity of more than 5 kWh.
• Registration: The leased or purchased vehicle must be registered within the state of California
• Residence: The customer must be a California resident.
• Dealerships: Only vehicles leased or purchased from retailers participating in the California Clean Fuel Reward program are eligible for the reward.

How to Locate Your Reward Savings

Once you’ve negotiated an amazing deal on your next new vehicle purchase, you’ll want to ensure that your participating vehicle retailer applies your California Clean Fuel Reward. Your rewards will be outlined on your purchase or lease agreement under line items such as “EV incentive,” “manufacturer rebate,” “rebate/non-cash credits,” or “other.” Your rewards may also be combined with vehicle rebates!
